Florida football will be well represented on Sunday at Super Bowl 58.

Four former Florida Gators will suit up for the game on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

Florida is tied with Michigan with the third-most players represented from one school in the Super Bowl, behind only Georgia (5) and Oklahoma (6).

Overall, Florida has 45 former players on NFL rosters, including 41 active players, one on a practice squad and three on injured reserve.

UF's history of producing NFL players is well documented. More than 400 former Florida players have been selected in the NFL Draft since 1938. The list includes NFL Hall of Famers Jack Youngblood (Los Angeles Rams) and Emmitt Smith (Dallas Cowboys), and countless other Pro Bowlers such as Wilber Marshall (Chicago Bears), Kevin Carter (Tennessee Titans, St. Louis Rams) and Fred Taylor (Jacksonville Jaguars).

Here's a breakdown of the four former UF players who will play in Super Bowl 58:

Jawaan Taylor, RT, Chiefs

The 6-foot-4, 330-pound Taylor started at tackle for UF from 2016-18 before being taken in the second round by the Jacksonville Jaguars (35th overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft,

After four seasons as a starter at right tackle with the Jaguars (2019-22), Taylor signed a four-year, $80 million contract to play for the Chiefs. It's been an up-and-down first season in Kansas City for Taylor, who has drawn an NFL-high 20 penalties in the regular season and postseason, but he's remained on a starter on the Chiefs offensive line.

Tommy Townsend, P, Chiefs

Townsend punted for three seasons at Florida (2016-19), averaging 44.8 yards with a long of 71, before signing with the Chiefs in 2020,

As Kansas City's starting punter in 2023, Townsend has averaged 47.1 yards per punt on 59 punts with a long of 68. He's had 20 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. Townsend also demonstrated the ability to pull off a trick play this season, converting a 16-yard pass to wide receiver Justin Watson on Christmas Day for a first down against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kadarius Toney, WR, Chiefs

Recruited to UF as a quarterback, Toney (2017-20) had a breakout senior season with the Gators. He earned first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American honors in 2020 by amassing more than 1,000 yards of offense for the Gators (70 catches, 984 receiving, 10 TDs and 19 rushes for 161 yards and 1 TD).

Toney was a first-round pick of the New York Giants in the 2021 Draft but was traded to the Chiefs a year later amid questions about his work ethic. In last season's Super Bowl 57, Toney caught a TD pass and returned a punt 65 yards, helping lead the Chiefs to a 38-35 comeback win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

But it's been an up-and-down 2023 season for Toney in Kansas City. He had two crucial drops in KC's season-opening loss to the Detroit Lions and lined up offside which negated a cross-field lateral TD to him from Travis Kelce in a loss to the Buffalo Bills. After being declared inactive in last week's AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens with a hip injury, Toney went on an expletive-laden tirade on Instagram, claiming he wasn't hurt.

Toney has 27 catches for 169 yards and 1 TD on the season and it's unclear whether he will be on the active roster for Super Bowl 58.

La'Mical Perine, RB, Chiefs

Perine played at Florida from 2016-19, finishing his UF career with 2,485 yards and 22 rushing TDs while adding 72 catches for 674 yards and 8 TDs receiving.

He was drafted in the fourth round by the New York Jets in the 2020 draft. After being cut by the Jets in 2022, Perine had stints with the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad in 2023. He was promoted to the Chiefs active roster on Dec. 24 and has 22 carries for 77 yards on the season.
